Reviewing Outscoped Tasks

Just like with your Outstanding Tasks, or your Task History, sometimes you will need to review an outscoped task in a bit more detail, or even return a specific task to 'Within scope'.

To do this, click Review on any of the tasks within the Outscoped Tasks area. See below for an example:

Selecting Review will open a new window for that particular task. Here's an example:

Let's run through all the information on this task:

Associated Controls: A list of the security controls that will have their requirements met by completing this task

Unique Identifier: A way for OneClickComply to easily find this specific task when troubleshooting

Status: An indicator of the current task status. In the above example, the task has been labelled as Outscoped

License Required: A list of what software licences are needed in order to have access to the required settings within your tenancy

Task Details & Manual Steps: A more in-depth breakdown of the task's requirements, as well as a guide for completing the task by hand

Last Modified: A time and date stamp indicating when the task was last changed

Outscope Reason: A short explanation for auditors as to why the task has been outscoped from the business

Lastly, when scrolling down to the bottom of the task page, you will find a button labelled In-scope (see below):

The In-scope button

This button allows you to move the task back into your Outstanding Task Queue in the event that a task has moved from being out of scope, to now being within scope.
