Accessing Controls and Tasks
In this article, you will find:
Navigation guidance for accessing standards controls and their associated tasks.
Important information about how controls and tasks operate within the OneClickComply platform.
Navigating to a standard's controls
There are three methods of accessing the controls of a standard. These are:
Through the Homepage.
Through the Compliance Standards page.
Through the Control Management area.
See below for information regarding each of these navigation routes.
Via the Homepage
On the Homepage of the OneClickComply platform, simply select the standard that you wish to view the controls of. This will open a new page that only shows the controls of that specific standard. As an example, selecting the ISO 27001 card on the homepage will only show the controls related to ISO 27001.

Through the Compliance Standards page
From the main navigation bar, select Compliance > Controls and Standards > Standards.

On this page, any standard with an Active or Paused status tag will have an additional option called Controls. Selecting this will direct you to the control management area for that specific standard.

Through the Control Management area
From the main navigation bar, select Compliance > Controls and Standards > Control Management.

This method differs from the previous two options, as the resulting page will list all the controls for all compliance standards that are current set as Active within your account.
Viewing Controls
Let's have a look at the controls page for ISO 27001:

Note: If you access this page through the Control Management navigation route, there will be an additional option to filter by compliance standard.
Inside this area, standards are broken down into their individual controls. Each control has the following:
Control Title: A short outline of the control's requirements.
Status: A tag showing if the control is Not Started, In progress, Completed, or Out of Scope.
Auditor Approval: Shows whether the control has been reviewed and accepted by an auditor.
% Complete: Your current alignment with that control.
To view a control in more detail, hover over the desired control and select the Open option, as shown below:

You will then be presented with the following page, providing more information about the chosen control, such as a more detailed description, specific evidence guidance, and a timestamp of when the control was last updated.

Accessing Control Tasks
When reviewing a control in detail, scroll down the page to view the specific tasks associated with this control.
As outlined previously, tasks are split into two categories: Technical or Operational.
Technical Tasks: These tasks represent gaps in your security posture that have been automatically detected by the OneClickComply platform, and should be remediated as soon as possible. Completing these tasks will bring your settings and controls into alignment with the standard. See below for an example:

Operational Tasks: These tasks are administrative actions that your organisation must follow or implement. These tasks require evidence (such as policies or procedures) to be manually attached to the task in order to prove completion. See below for an example:

For more information about completing both technical and operational tasks, please see our dedicated support article.
