Reviewing Task History

Reviewing tasks in the Task History area is a critical component of managing your compliance. Once in Task History, select Review next to the task you wish to see in more detail. See below:

Doing this will open a new window within the platform providing a more in depth look a that task. Here's an example:

Let's go through each of these sections:

Icon & Title: As mentioned before, the icon indicates which tenancy the task will impact (e.g Google Workspace), while the task title will give a general overview of the task as a whole.

Control and Standard Tags: The boxes underneath the task title indicate which cyber security standard the task is related to, whilst also showing which controls the task is linked to, or whether the task covers multiple standards.

Unique Identifier: Each task has a unique identifier. This has no impact on your day-to-day use of the platform, and simply exists as an easy way for our team to troubleshoot that specific task within your tenancy, should it be required.

Associated Automation: Similar to the Unique Identifier, the Associated Automation is a way for a member of our team to easily locate the automation that is linked to that particular task for troubleshooting and triage purposes.

Target Name: As outlined previously, the Target Name refers to the area of your tenancy that will be altered by that automation. The name will be different for each business, depending on what you have named your various systems within the platform.

Status: Your task will show various labels based on its current completion state. Labels such as In Progress and Completed will help you easily identify whether a task has been actioned or not. The above example has been Completed.

Priority: As mentioned previously, Priority refers to the importance of a task based on how it impacts your systems. High priority will either make large changes to the platform, or change crucial settings, whereas low priority changes will have less of an impact, but are nonetheless incredibly important.

License Required: This refers to the specific licences that are required to make these changes within the platform.

Task Details and Manual Steps: This section outlines the control requirements in greater detail, as well as covering the manual steps that a user could take if they didn't wish to complete the task automatically. As the above example has been Completed, the task details and manual steps will not be shown.

If the task was In Progress, or some other tag, these details would still be displayed.

Created: A time stamp for when a task was created.
