Why do I have Outstanding Tasks for areas I don't recognise?
Outstanding Tasks are generated when the OneClickComply platform scans your full tenancy—including environments like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, and others—and identifies any non-compliant settings, policies, or controls that are required by your selected compliance standards.
Because this is a comprehensive scan, it may highlight areas of your environment that seem unfamiliar or that you believe are no longer in use. As an example, the platform may detect that a seperate AWS region still has business resources or information stored within it. This can sometimes cause confusion, or concerns about security.
Often, these unfamiliar compliance issues are the result of default settings being left untouched, or even a test when your business first moved into the environment. So even if you’re confident that these components have been decommissioned or are no longer relevant, we would recommend completing the associated tasks regardless. Taking a proactive approach to these detected issues not only aligns with security best practices, but offers greater peace of mind as well.
In most cases, it’s safer to err on the side of caution rather than exclude a task that could leave your business exposed or out of compliance.
