Breaking down compliance standards

The OneClickComply platform is designed to make the process of managing, achieving, and maintain compliance across various standards as simple and accessible as possible.

Every compliance standard within the platform is broken down into subsections known as Controls. Controls are the specific criteria that your business needs to meet in order to be considered compliant with the overall standard. However, to make these controls easy to both understand and achieve, the OneClickComply platform breaks each control down into manageable chunks known as Tasks.

Each task within a control can be considered an 'action item' that must be completed in order to comply with a control's requirements, and every task has been designed and linked to make the process of meeting these requirements easier than ever to achieve.

For example, many standards have an overarching goal of improving the physical and logical security of an organisation. As such, many controls will require businesses to implement or change certain settings and configurations. Within the OneClickComply platform, these controls are broken down into individual Tasks, such as enforcing multi-factor authentication, setting password complexity policies, or implementing access controls across employee accounts.

These tasks are known as Technical Tasks within the OneClickComply platform.

Standards may also have more administrative controls/requirements. As such, the associated tasks will require documentation to be provided, such as policies, reports, logs etc. These more document-based tasks are known as Operational Tasks within the platform.

Businesses must ensure that all tasks linked with a control are reviewed and actioned, otherwise you risk non-compliance with the standard.
